I love beauty products. I am in no way a beauty expert but I know what I like! I love trying new things and testing out products to figure out what works for me. Lip products and nail polish are my favorite items. Here is what I was loving and using over and over in the month of September. Please enjoy. Stay a while and come back soon!
This foundation is surprisingly better than I expected. It offers light coverage but I can build it to light/medium for a "no makeup" makeup look. It evens my skin and is great for everyday use.
L'Oreal Magic Nude Foundation in Soft Sable 332. About $12
I searched for Bad to the Bronze for about a month and finally found it. It was the last one in the display so I knew it was meant to be. I'm so glad I didn't give up on my search. I use this on its own quite often but it's also great under metallic shadows.
Maybelline Color Tattoo eye shadow base in Bad to the Bronze 25. About $6
When I saw this I was instantly amazed by the gorgeousness in front of me. I was even more amazed at the price....$2.97!! At first I thought it was a mistake since I had always heard that these go for about $8. But it was no mistake, both pallets (I also purchased Blue Had Me at Hello) rang up for $2.97. When I finally got them home I was so impressed by the quality of these shadows. They are better than any other shadows I've tried from the drugstore. The feel, pigmentation and longevity are just outstanding, needless to say I do not regret my purchase. Btw, no picture could ever do this beauty justice. You must see it for yourself.
Wet n Wild Eye Shadow Pallet in Comfort Zone 738. About $3
I have to admit, I was very skeptical about buying this one. I got it because I love the color, but I knew it might be a problem with my skin tone. It's very light and highly frosted. But I was pleasantly surprised! It goes on very sheer and the frost isn't a problem. Since it is a blue based pink, it compliments my skin very well. I've been wearing this almost everyday for the last 3 weeks when I want a pinky-nude lip. I usually put a pink lipstick in the center of my lips to tone it down some though. If you don't have this color I highly recommend it.
Revlon Lip Butter in Cupcake 055. About $7
I am totally loving these Revlon lip glosses. This one is my most recent purchase. It's the most pigmented of the 4 that I have and I have been loving it for a dark vampy look. I usually pair it with a Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm in jam twist for added color but it's not at all necessary.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Raisin Rage 250. About $7
This lip liner has been great for a deep purple lip. I pair it will a Jumbo Gloss Balm of the same color and it works perfectly. I never have to reapply the liner, but I reapply the gloss every 3-4 hours.
Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Plum 45. About $5
This balm is absolutely amazing. I always pair it with the Maybelline lip liner above. Out of the 4 that I have, it is hands down my favorite. Although it still only lasts about 3 or 4 hours I find that it is a lot more moisturizing than the others. I'm not sure if it's all in my head or if the formula is different but I love it! I had just about given up on these when I found this one and figured I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did and now I actually want more. Oh and I guess the 4th time is the charm with that packaging as well. I finally figured out how to keep up with the color name! Just remove the plastic on the body and leave it on the lid!
Covergirl Jumbo Gloss Balm in Plum Twist 260. About $6
Now this one took some getting used to. Since my lips are so pigmented, it pretty much blended in with them. At first I was just using it as a chapstick since it is very moisturizing. About 2 weeks ago I decided to try it under a nude lip color and I fell in love (again) It suddenly became the perfect "my lips but better" product. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be a balm stain, at least that's how I use it. When I want that "my lips but better" look I will use this or the Revlon Lip Butter in fig jam. They are the exact same color but this one is more matte whereas the other is glossy...I prefer matte.
L'Oreal Color Riche Lip Balm in Satiny Cocoa 182. About $8
